The Neon Gutter crew goes deep on the table game they love the most: Craps. Listen in as they discuss:
How to play craps, and which bets have the best odds.
Craps table adventures and characters.
Whether you’re allowed to wear a tiny plastic hand on your finger while throwing the dice.
Craps etiquette and superstitions.
Craps shooting styles.
Where you can still play craps cheaply.
In addition, check out the song Matt forces his friends to listen to while they’re trying to play craps. Also, check out the following delightful photos of our craps games over the years as we chased the cheapest game in town all over the Las Vegas Valley.
We apologize for the low quality of these pictures, but the kinds of casinos we frequent really frown on picture-taking at the table.

The glorious, cheap game at the old Slots-a-Fun, right at its entrance from the Strip. You could almost play with one foot in the casino and one on the sidewalk.
Look at all those beautiful blue $1 chips spread across the El Cortez’s felt back in the day. Just off camera is A Big Mouth Billy Bass singing “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” You’d be lucky to find a game that costs 10x as much there nowadays,
The last dollar game downtown was at the Western until its closure. Easily one of the most chaotic, terrifying games we’ve ever played, and utterly delightful. If you bet $2, you were a whale. Hell, if you bet every roll rather than just when the cocktail waitress was approaching, you were a high roller.
We ventured up to Reno for a trip a few years back (never again!), and found the only dollar game at the unexpectedly nice Western Village in Sparks. Don’t go looking for it; the Village no longer has any table games.
Dan shows us off his little hand in the alley behind one of our craps haunts. Some casinos allow you to throw with a tiny hand, some do not.
A friend we made at the Joker’s Wild’s $1 game tries his luck with Dan’s little hand. Until it closed, the Wild was world-famous for allowing tiny-hand shooters.
It was a good night at the Joker’s Wild’s $1 craps table, thanks to little hands. The crew got so loud that the lounge act asked us to keep it down.
In November 2026, The Rio has the cheapest game in town at $3, but only from 3 AM to noon.
